Van Duijn De Jong is a greenhouse horticulture company with a passion for growing eggplants. The management of Van Duijn De Jong consists of the three brothers Pleun, Jan, and Rob van Duijn, along with Peter de Jong. The company's origins date back to 1962 in De Lier, Westland municipality, but since 1996, they have moved to West Brabant and Zeeland. With this move, the company has grown to cover an area of 27.5 hectares, allowing the production of approximately 50,000,000 eggplants per year. Van Duijn De Jong operates year-round, including Saturdays
- Tasks include collecting eggplants from plants and placing them in carts, removing leaves, lowering and guiding plants, as well as other tasks necessary for the care and maintenance of the crop.
- It is important to note that, at times, work will be performed at height.
- The job can be learned in approximately two weeks.
- You will have a trainer who will guide you through the process, so you will soon be able to perform your duties independently.

Since you will be working in a greenhouse, the temperature will be variable. In winter, it is maintained at a comfortable temperature, and in summer, the plants themselves help make the environment cooler than usual inside a greenhouse. The company provides you with a T-shirt and a personal locker, and of course, you will receive safety footwear from Goodmorning. It is important that you bring your own T-shirt or long-sleeved garment to protect your arms.
